About Us

Retro Rods Custom Sheetmetal is a family run business, located on the Bruce Highway just north of Tiaro.  Until March 2009 we were known as Retro Rods and Restorations, we changed names when we purchased Dales Panels of Tinana, Maryborough.    With this change we now  able to offer cheaper prices and improved quality and service.

Gaven is a qualified, award winning panel beater, and has worked in the industry for over  17 years.  He has a vast experience in all streams of panel beating from smash repairs to extensive roof chops and steel fabrication.

Being a panel beater and fitting rust repair panels for years, he knows how frustrating it can be to try to fit ill fitting, out of shape parts.  For this reason he ensures that all parts are of high standard and correct shape & length etc.

 He has a great passion for all things with wheels; from vintage motorcycles, retro scooters, seriously custom and original classic vehicles.

His fine skills and attention to detail have proven his abilities in producing quality products and restorations.

The whole family attends the various swap meets and car shows all year round, and the children enjoy showing their cool, custom trike, bikes and pushers!
